AI consultancy in the UK ranges from a few hundred pounds for a licence set-up to £3 million or more for a multi-country programme. The useful question is not the cheapest or the biggest price, but which kind of work you need and what the price includes.
Price ranges by type of work
| Type of work | Typical price | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Licence and tool set-up (Copilot, ChatGPT Business) | Per-seat licence, from about £15 a user a month, billed annually | Teams that want general AI at their desks |
| Free AI visibility or readiness check | Free (Kelriva AI visibility score report) | Anyone deciding where to start |
| AI Visibility Fix (Kelriva AI, one-off) | £495 | Firms wanting AI search fixed to a known scope |
| AI Readiness Assessment (Kelriva AI) | From £3,500 | Firms deciding which AI work is worth doing |
| Proof of concept or agent MVP, 4 to 8 weeks (Kelriva AI) | From £15,000 | Firms testing one process on their own documents |
| Production build, 8 to 16 weeks (Kelriva AI) | From £40,000 | Firms ready to run an AI system in daily use |
| Day rate, where a fixed fee is not practical (Kelriva AI) | £950 to £1,500 a day | Open-ended or changing scope |
| Large-firm programme (public data) | Roughly £150,000 to £3m or more | Multi-country transformation programmes |
What drives the price
The same request can cost very different amounts, depending on five things. How many documents and systems the work touches. How clean the data is, since messy data takes longer to prepare. How many people in your firm must sign off. Whether the system must run on your own servers or in the UK, which often needs more engineering. And how much support you need after launch.
What to ask any firm before you sign
Ask whether the price is fixed or a day rate, and what would change it. Ask who will actually do the work, by name. Ask what you get at the end: working software, a report, or a recommendation. And ask how the result will be measured. A firm that cannot answer these clearly is not yet ready to price your project.
Our published prices
Kelriva AI publishes every fee on its pricing page, which is the only way we know to make a comparison fair. The AI Visibility Score report is free in full. The AI Visibility Fix is £495 one-off, and monitoring afterwards is £6.99 a month. The AI Readiness Assessment starts at £3,500. A proof of concept starts at £15,000 and runs four to eight weeks. A production build starts at £40,000 and runs eight to sixteen weeks. If your work is not clearly one of these, we will say so and quote a day rate of £950 to £1,500.
Where to start with a small budget
Start with the cheapest thing that answers the question. Check how your firm is found by AI search with the free report. If the answer is general office work, a licence may be enough. If one process is costing real time, a readiness assessment will tell you which fix pays back first. Most firms should not commit to a production build before they have tested the idea on a small, measured pilot.
