There's no single best AI consulting firm in the UK. There's a best fit for the job you have. A firm that brought 400 AI specialists into Accenture and a two-person studio that fixes its fee before starting both call themselves AI consultancies, and each is the wrong choice for half the buyers who land on a list like this. So this list groups ten UK firms by what each one is best for, rather than ranking them one to ten.
One thing to say up front. Kelriva AI wrote this list, and Kelriva AI is on it. We've tried to make it useful anyway: every fact about another firm comes from that firm's own website or a reputable public source, checked on 25 October 2026. Where we couldn't confirm something, we left it out. We don't score anyone, we don't quote review counts or revenue, and we haven't said a bad word about any competitor.
How we chose the firms
We started from the names that come up most when UK buyers search for AI consulting firms and companies, then kept only the ones that pass five tests.
UK presence: a UK company or a UK office, not a sales page aimed at the UK. Delivery, not just strategy: each firm builds and ships systems, not only slide decks. A clear engagement model, ideally with published prices. Evidence you can check, such as named clients or case studies on its own site. And a clear sense of who it suits, so we could say whether it fits an SME, a mid-market business or a large enterprise.
We dropped one firm we'd planned to include. Deeper Insights, which often appears on UK lists, was acquired by Cisco in late 2024, so it no longer operates as an independent consultancy. We also left out the Big Four and the large global integrators as separate entries. They're well known, and if you need one you probably already know it.

Best for large programmes and the public sector
Faculty is one of the best-known British AI companies, and since March 2026 it has been part of Accenture. Accenture says more than 400 of Faculty's AI professionals, including data scientists and AI engineers, joined it with the deal. Faculty's own site lists public services, defence, national security and health among its sectors, and Accenture points to the NHS Early Warning System Faculty built during the pandemic. It also sells a decision intelligence product, Frontier.
Who it suits: large organisations and government bodies running serious, multi-team AI programmes, especially where safety and scrutiny matter. Pricing isn't published. If you're a 30-person firm with one use case, you're not the buyer a firm of this shape is built for.
Best for AI on top of your data platform
Plenty of AI projects are data projects in disguise. If your data sits in, or is moving to, a particular cloud platform, a specialist in that platform can be the sensible choice.
Datatonic calls itself a cloud data and AI consultancy and works on Google Cloud. Its Google Cloud partner listing describes it as a ten-time Google Cloud Partner of the Year and gives its headquarters as One Canada Square in London. Services cover generative AI, marketing analytics and cloud data migration, and the client logos on its site include Vodafone, ASOS and Sky. Best for: larger businesses already committed to Google Cloud.
Advancing Analytics builds governed data platforms, applications and AI agents on Databricks, and works with Microsoft Fabric too. It describes itself as a Databricks Gold Brickbuilder Partner and a Databricks Ventures portfolio company, and as a Microsoft partner with Data and AI specialisms. Its site gives a London address on Newman Street and describes the firm as based in Exeter and London. Named clients include Pret, PureGym, Quilter and Saga. Best for: organisations on Databricks or the Microsoft data stack that want AI in production on top of a clean platform.
Indicium AI is what Mesh-AI became. London-based Mesh-AI announced a merger with Indicium in November 2025, and the combined firm now trades as Indicium AI. Mesh-AI specialised in data and AI for regulated industries, mainly financial services and energy and utilities. Indicium AI lists a London office on Liverpool Street alongside New York, Lisbon and two offices in Brazil, and names Anthropic, Databricks, AWS and Microsoft as partners. Clients named on Mesh-AI's site include National Grid, Experian, Aviva and Schroders. Best for: large regulated enterprises that want strategy through to delivery from one firm.
Best for specialist technical depth
Winder.AI is the trading name of Winder Research and Development Ltd, founded by Dr Phil Winder in 2013 and run from Yorkshire. The team is remote-first, with no London office, and brings in associates as projects need them. It's known for reinforcement learning, and it also builds LLM applications, agents and MLOps platforms. UK clients it names include Ofcom, Stability AI and Tractable. Unusually for a firm of its kind, it publishes rates: £150 to £300 an hour for most engineering work, and fixed-fee proofs of concept for agent and LLM systems from £15,000 to £40,000. Best for: technically hard problems where someone has to prove the system actually works.
Brainpool trades through Brainpool Consultancy Ltd, with a London office in Mayfair and a team in Vancouver. Its model differs from most: it draws on a network it puts at more than 500 AI and machine learning experts. It covers strategy, custom AI products, automation, predictive analytics and technical due diligence, and describes a path from discovery to a six-week proof of concept. Named clients include Fujitsu, Sainsbury's and NVIDIA. Pricing isn't published. Best for: projects that need a specific, rare skill set, or technical due diligence on an AI product.
Best for mid-market businesses
Fifty One Degrees is a London and New York AI consultancy founded in 2023, aimed at mid-market businesses with turnover of roughly £5m to £250m. Its model is to embed senior practitioners in the client's team and hand over production systems. It builds AI agents, voice AI, predictive models and Claude implementations. It says a proof of concept typically costs under £15,000 and ships in two to four weeks, and its Claude packages run from £25,000 up to £50,000 to £70,000. Case studies on its site include Heatable, Freddie's Flowers and Resi. Best for: growing businesses without an in-house AI team that want people working alongside their staff.
Best for SMEs that want a fixed price
The three firms below publish fixed prices before you've had a sales call. If budget certainty matters more to you than bench size, start here.
The AI Consultancy trades through The AI Consultancy (London) Ltd, incorporated in December 2024, with offices in Hoxton and Chelmsford. It publishes a full price list, all excluding VAT: a two-week Readiness Sprint from £3,500, a Claude Enablement install from £4,500, a Discovery and Pilot from £15,000 and a Build and Embed from £40,000, with a day rate of £950 to £1,500 for open-ended work. A small core team is backed by a wider network. Best for: SMEs and scaleups that want a staged path from assessment to production, with each step priced.
Augustova is an AI consultancy and software studio in Fitzrovia, London. Augustova Limited was incorporated in May 2026, though the team says it has been building since 2023, and its site names three people. Every engagement starts with a written scope and a fixed price. Published starting prices include an AI adoption audit from £2,500, AI agents and automation from £4,000, custom software from £8,000 and AI training from £1,200. Best for: owner-run businesses that want AI alongside practical software or website work.
Kelriva AI, which is us, is a London AI consultancy run by two people: Costin Bucuci on the commercial side and Lichia Reghu on AI engineering. We publish fixed fees: an AI Readiness Assessment at £4,500 over 9 to 14 days, an intelligent document processing proof of concept at £8,500 over 3 to 5 weeks, an AI agent MVP at £15,000 over 6 to 8 weeks, and an £18,000 suitability pilot for financial advice firms. Most of our work is document-heavy and regulated: financial services, ESG reporting, corporate finance and coaching. Our coach-matching engine runs in production at bettercoach. The trade-off is plain. There's no wider bench, so we take on few projects at a time and turn work away when we're full. Best for: SMEs and specialist firms with one clear, document-heavy problem who want the people on the first call to be the ones who build it. More on how we work as an AI consultancy for UK businesses.
How to choose an AI consultancy
Start with the problem, not the firm. Write down the one process you want AI to change, who does it today and what a good result would look like. A firm that can't play that back to you clearly after the first call is unlikely to deliver it.
Match the firm's size to the job. A single proof of concept doesn't need a 400-person bench, and a multi-country rollout can't run on two people. Most bad fits come from getting this wrong, in either direction.
Ask who will do the work, by name. At larger firms the person who sells the project isn't always the person who delivers it. Ask whether a quoted team size refers to the UK company or a global group, and how old the company you'd actually contract with is. Several firms in this market have merged, been acquired or re-registered in the last two years.
Get the deliverable in writing. Is it a report, a prototype or a production system you own? Who owns the code? What happens to your data, and where is it processed? A firm that's worked in regulated sectors will have ready answers on UK GDPR and data residency.
Check the evidence yourself. Named clients and case studies only help if you can verify them, so ask for a reference call with a client whose project looked like yours.
