What AI Visibility Monitoring Actually Costs in 2026

Every AI visibility platform we looked at prices monitoring differently, by domain, by prompt volume, by seat, some annual-only. We pulled the publicly listed pricing for the platforms that come up most often, current as of September 2026 and subject to change, so it is clear what ongoing AI visibility monitoring actually costs across the market right now.

The paid monitoring platforms

Ahrefs Brand Radar starts from $398 a month as an add-on inside the Ahrefs suite, and tracks five AI engines, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews, and AI Mode, though not Claude. Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit is $99 per domain per month, drawing on a dataset of more than 261 million logged LLM prompts. Profound runs $99 to $399 or more a month, billed annually, positioned as a full enterprise AEO platform with monitoring, content, and crawler analytics bundled together. Otterly.ai ranges from $29 to $489 a month, with enterprise plans from $1,000. Peec AI sits between $95 and $495 a month for prompt-level tracking aimed at agencies. Scrunch AI's core plan starts at $250 a month for 125 prompts and 5 site audits. Athena HQ is the one platform on this list with a genuine free tier before its $295-a-month paid plan, focused on source and citation intelligence, which URLs an AI actually cites.

The free, one-off checkers

A separate category of tools, including Ahrefs' own standalone free checker, Semrush's free AI Visibility Checker, Birdeye, Backlinko, HubSpot's AEO Grader, and Mangools' AI Search Grader, give a free snapshot score without an account. These are useful for a single check, but they are not ongoing monitoring products, they are the free entry point into the paid platforms listed above.

Where the free AI Visibility Score sits

Kelriva AI's full AI Visibility Score report is free, not a teaser, the same real, verbatim answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity that a paid check from any of the platforms above would show you. The only paid part is optional ongoing monitoring, a re-check roughly once a month, at £6.99 a month. That is under a fifth of Otterly's cheapest plan, and well under a tenth of Ahrefs Brand Radar's entry price, for a business that wants to know if anything has changed without needing agency-scale reporting or a 12-month contract. Run the free check and see exactly what AI systems currently say about your business before deciding whether ongoing monitoring is worth it.
